Meet the talented team at Stephen Alexander Hairdressing Salon in Chelmsford. Our wide range of hair services includes cutting & styling for women, men and children, popular hair colour including highlights and balayage and hair extensions. We also offer some fantastic hair treatments and sell only the very best high quality hair care and styling products from industry recognised brands, KMS & Goldwell.

Many of our stylists were trained up through our very own apprenticeship programme and we are extremely proud of their work ethic as well as the beautiful hair colours, cuts & styles that they continue to create. We can't wait to welcome you to the salon soon!

Stephen Alexander | Salon Director

Stephen trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy and has been part of the hairdressing industry for over 30 years. His passion lies in inspiring and mentoring the next generation of talented stylists, helping them grow into the future of modern hairdressing. Stephen still enjoys working with a busy client base, specialising in ladies’ and gents’ cutting as well as colouring. When he’s not on the salon floor, he’s focused on running the business, developing new ideas, and supporting his amazing team at SAH. His enthusiasm for both the salon and the industry remains as strong as ever.

Lily Prior | Senior Stylist / Colourist

Lily joined the SAH team in 2013 and has been a dedicated and loyal member of the salon ever since. Her passion for hairdressing shines through in every client she works with. Lily specialises in ladies’ cutting and colouring, with a particular love for balayage and creative colour work. She’s an exceptional cutter on both long and short hair and is known for her attention to detail, professionalism, and the care she gives to every client who sits in her chair.

Phoebe | Stylist / Colourist

Phoebe joined SAH in May 2022 and has become a valued part of the team. She’s a talented stylist with a real passion for creating beautiful colour work, including highlights and balayage, as well as expert ladies’ cuts and blow dries. Phoebe also specialises in wedding hair and special occasion updos, creating elegant, timeless looks for her clients. Her friendly personality and eye for detail make her a favourite with clients, and she’s always eager to keep learning and stay ahead of trends.
